HARRISBURG- Eight fire and emergency medical services (EMS) companies in the 187th legislative district were awarded over $112,000 in fiscal support through the 2021-22 Pennsylvania Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program.

“These brave and dedicated men and women answer the call of duty whenever they are needed. I am delighted that so many fire and EMS companies in our district applied and were selected to be recipients of this year’s grants.” said Day. “Fire and EMS services are essential to the public safety of our Commonwealth, and these grants will help offset their costs when it is needed most.”

     • Community Fire Co. of New Tripoli ($14,540).

This funding was created by the General Assembly. All grants are generated from slot machine gaming proceeds, rather than from the General Fund tax revenue.
