Day to Host Legislative Update, Open House Sept. 22
NEW TRIPOLI – As a way for residents to better acquaint themselves with the services provided by Rep. Gary Day (R-Lehigh/Berks) and his legislative office serving the 187th District, he will hold a Legislative Open House at the Trexlertown Fire Company in Breinigsville on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 6-9 p.m.

The event will include a legislative update from Harrisburg and will give guests a chance to interact individually with Day and his legislative team.

“For this evening, I’m bringing my legislative team to Upper Macungie Township to help inform them about what we can do to serve them,” Day said. “In addition, I’ll be offering an update on the current budget impasse and other important legislative priorities. This is a great way to interact with everyone and to hear their thoughts and concerns about state government.”

Attendees can also learn more about what his office can do, including help sorting through state government red tape, forms and applications for state programs and referrals to state agencies.

A complimentary light meal will be available.

Residents should RSVP to Day’s office by calling (610) 760-7082 by Friday, Sept. 11.

The fire hall is located at 7723 Hamilton Blvd., Breinigsville.

As a result of legislative reapportionment taking effect in late 2014, the 187th District now serves all of Upper Macungie Township, as well as Weisenberg, Lowhill, North Whitehall, Lynn and Heidelberg townships in Lehigh County. The Berks County portion includes Lyons and Kutztown, along with Maxatawny Township.
