Day to Host Career Awareness Night
WHAT: Rep. Gary Day (R-Berks/Lehigh) is joining with the Lehigh Career and Technical Institute to introduce to eighth through 12th graders in Lehigh and Berks counties and their families the types of careers that will be in high demand in the future. Students and their families will explore these types of careers and jobs and the kind of training and education that will be necessary to compete for those opportunities.
WHO: Speakers will include Day; Richard T. Sniscak, superintendent, Parkland School District; Dr. Mary Anne Wright, superintendent, Northwestern Lehigh School District; Dr. Robert Lees, administrative director, Berks Career and Technology Center; Sandra J. Himes, executive director, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute; and Grace Loeffler-Guldin, director of academic and special programs, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute. Other professionals will be on hand to discuss specific career areas with students and their families.
