HARRISBURG – State Rep. Gary Day (R-Lehigh/Berks) is inviting senior citizens and their caregivers to join him at two upcoming senior fairs.
The first Senior Fair will be held Thursday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kutztown Fire Company.
“This event features several free health services as well as valuable information and resources for older Pennsylvanians,” Day said. “The Senior Fair provides an opportunity for local senior citizens to learn about programs and services available to them.”
The senior fair will offer free flu shots, blood pressure checks, grip strength tests and screenings for balance.
Vendors representing government agencies, businesses and not-for-profit organizations will be there to provide older residents with information about programs and services tailored to meet their unique needs.
The Kutztown Fire Company is located at 310 Noble St.
The second senior fair will take place Thursday, Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in building four of Country Meadows of Allentown. This senior fair is being co-hosted by Day and Sen. Pat Browne (R-Lehigh). Country Meadows of Allentown is located at 410 N. Krocks Road.
This fair also will feature vendors with information about valuable resources available to senior citizens in the Upper Macungie Township area.
“We want senior citizens to know about some of the resources available to them in our community,” Day said. “We are blessed with a large and vibrant senior population in our area. We want them to be able to access these tools so they can continue to lead full and satisfying lives.”
