Free flu shots, refreshments and wealth of information
KUTZTOWN – Rep. Gary Day (R-Lehigh/Berks) invites senior citizens ages 55 and older, their family members and caregivers to learn more about services and programs available to them at two upcoming Senior Fairs.

The first is Day’s annual Senior Fair on Thursday, Oct. 5, at the Kutztown Fire Company, located at 310 Noble St. in Kutztown.

“The Senior Expo attracts hundreds of people each year, and the event continues to grow as more senior citizens, their families and caregivers turn to the expo to learn more about the variety of programs and services available in our local communities,” Day said.

In addition to information tables and representatives from local, state and federal governments, as well as private agencies, the event will include door prizes and free refreshments.

Of particular interest, free flu shots will be provided by Lehigh Valley Health Network, and free blood pressure checks.

The Senior Fair will start at 10 a.m. and last until 1 p.m.

For those who live closer to or in Upper Macungie Township, the second Senior Information Fair, which Day will co-host along with Sen. Pat Browne (R-Lehigh), will be held Thursday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Country Meadows of Allentown. The event will take place inside Building 4, located at 410 North Krocks Road, Allentown. This Senior Fair will also include free flu shots, provided by Lehigh Valley Health Network; door prizes; and free blood pressure checks.
