The 187th Legislative District consists of part of BERKS County consisting of the TOWNSHIP of Maxatawny and the BOROUGHS of Kutztown and Lyons; and part of LEHIGH County consisting of the TOWNSHIPS of Heidelberg, Lowhill, Lynn, North Whitehall, Upper Macungie and Weisenberg.

Day Hosts Committee Meeting to Look Into COVID-19 Situation in PA Nursing Homes

HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania House Aging and Older Services Committee Chairman Gary Day (R-Lehigh/Berks) Thursday in Harrisburg hosted an informational meeting so legislators could hear from industry experts about the unique challenges COVID-19 is placing on nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the Commonwealth.

NEW TRIPOLI – State Rep. Gary Day (R-Lehigh/Berks) today announced Berks County Intermediate Unit will receive a state grant of more than $10,000 to help students continue to learn during the school shutdown caused by the COVID-19, or coronavirus, pandemic.
